Man killed in wrong-way crash in Kyle

One man died and three people were injured after a head-on collision near Kyle, Texas early Monday morning.

The man, 31-year-old Jose Hernandez was driving north in a southbound lane on Interstate 35.  A 2007 Jeep Compass driven by Jeffery Hill, 25, was headed south and hit Hernandez’s car head-on at about midnight.

Practical Tip

Just because you were hurt doesn’t mean you are entitled to money.  You must prove that someone else was negligent and that it was their negligence or carelessness which caused your injury.  If you fail to do both, you lose.  If you sue the wrong person, you lose.  If you wait too long to sue, you lose.  If you had an injury BEFORE the accident, then you are entitled to be compensated to the extent your injury is now worse.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.  Hill and two passengers, both women in their 20s, were taken to University Medical Center at Brackenridge and were listed in stable condition.
