Austin Accident Lawyer
The seat belt law is one of several driving that take effect Sept. 1. Others include:
Children under 8 have to be in a child safety seat or a booster seat unless they are 4 feet 9 inches tall. Under the current law, only children under 5 and shorter than 36 inches have to he in a child safety seat. Though the law becomes effective Septempber 1, tickets cannot be issued until June 2010. Children under 5 may not ride on a motorcycle, though they may ride in a sidecar. People riding in 15-passenger vans must use seat belts and child safety seats as required in other vehicles. Before, only drivers of the vans were required to wear seat belts. Drivers may not use cell phones in school zones unless they use a hands-free device. (There is some debate as to whether local governments can get around this law by not installing warning signs. The City of Austin plans to install signs). Yeah, we have plenty of BS awards too. Andrew did an amazing job representing me on my personal injury case. He was professional and transparent through the process. He made my first experience navigating through a lawsuit easy and free of stress. His office staff was also easy to work with. I’m very satisfied with the settlement outcome and would not hesitate in referring my friends and family members to Andrew.

Veronica F - google August 24, 2022I was involved in a multiple vehicle crash with complicated injuries, and despite my best efforts could not deal with the insurance companies alone. From the start, Andrew was reassuring, insightful, and determined. He gently guided me through the litigation process, and sought out new resources to further my recovery. My case took time to build, and while sometimes I felt unsure Andrew never wavered. In the end, the Traub Law Office secured an amazing settlement for me! I am so grateful to Andrew, Talia, and Lynne for their kindness and dedication. Now I can move on with my life, and heartily refer anyone who needs a true and accomplished lawyer to Andrew Traub!
