Several men detained after fatal wreck that ejected, killed woman in Harris County

Police detained three men following a chaotic series of events Sunday that started with a fight outside a Greenspoint area bank and ended with the death of a woman fleeing that altercation.

The fight erupted between at least two men outside a Wells Fargo bank, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a tweet. One of them hopped into a car driven by a 19-year-old woman, who sped off without a seat belt and her car door open.

A pickup truck, whose driver may have been impaired, then slammed into the side of the woman's car. She was ejected from the vehicle and killed, the sheriff said. The driver of the truck then fled.
