Man, two children die in wreck in Burnet County

Author: A man and two of his children were killed Saturday in a crash on Texas 71 near Spicewood, officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
Two other children were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin. Their conditions were not available.
Authorities said Russell Rutland, 37, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima east on the highway when a 2007 Dodge pickup heading west crossed a double yellow line and struck the Nissan.
Rutland, his daughter Madison Rutland, 4, and son Hunter Rutland, 9, were killed in the crash.
The driver of the Dodge was taken to Seton Highland Lakes hospital in Burnet. hisc condition was not available.
